 about

Though we come from a range of backgrounds, the members of the 2014 Vimy team have three major things in common. We study Arabic, love to travel, and are self-identified nerds.

This June we'll head to Jordan to investigate the high rate of women studying STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) fields at the University of Jordan in Amman

We're funded by the Center for Global Initiatives' Vimy grant. The award is given to a team of students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Also important to note is that our adviser, Dr. Cathy Scott, is a superhero and we wouldn't be here without her.

It's going to be a fun summer!

Keep in touch.

Love,

Fareeda, Kate and Samantha
